Church Planting
When we first came to Moldova in 1994 there were 1000 towns or villages in the country that had no evangelical church of any kind.
From the outset, we have worked with a clear vision: to see as many as possible of these 1,000 villages established with a faithful, gospel-centred church. This has consistently been one of our two primary objectives. The other is to serve those in greatest need.​
By God’s grace, Mark planted two churches in the south of Moldova, which he pastored from 1996 to 2013.​
Since 2005, we have partnered with other Moldovan church planters — initially in the south, and now across the whole country. To date, together we have seen 30 churches planted and 20 new works established.
We labour alongside these planters in genuine partnership, supporting them in evangelism, discipleship, leadership
development and ministry training. We also provide modest financial assistance, enabling them to remain in full-time ministry while faithfully providing for their families.
Financial support varies according to need and experience; however, as of 2026, the average level of support is approximately £600 per month per planter.
